Welcome to ID3NTITY CRISIS – After having a career in the art/design/programming fields for 20+ years, I've finally shifted gears to unleash my inner-engineer. Since January 2024, I've become a full-time YouTuber, with a focus on my interest in small-scale manufacturing. I've been sharing my journey as I build up my prototyping workshop with the latest manufacturing technologies, and enabling DIY'ers on how to build fiber laser cutting machines. I enjoy challenging projects and I keep pushing the limits to make previously out-of-reach technologies accessible to us small workshops. Follow along at my YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/@diyfiberlaser.

DIY Sim Racing Rig

For a fun Summer project, I turned this old, broken, rusty arcade racing cockpit into a DIY sim racing rig. This turned out to be a quite expansive project in which I got the pleasure of using most of the machines in my workshop. So if you have a half hour to burn, follow along as I take you through the journey of this project.

DIY Fiber Laser Cutter

I’ve been working on building this 1000W fiber laser cutter for the past 6 months and I’m finally able to start testing it. Since there almost no information about how to build one of these on the internet, I’m creating a YouTube series to document the build.

Interview & Live Performance on Frequency TV

In the winter of 2012 I was the guest artist, then guest performer on back-to-back programs of Frequency TV’s “Hoods: Wicker Park” live tv show, recorded at Columbia College. Here are the video clips from my appearances.
